Single Room Painting or a Full Interior Repaint
A single room is often a day or two once preparation is included. A full interior repaint of a typical Redlands or Bayside home usually takes several days, depending on the size of the house and how much preparation the walls need. At your quote we will walk through the rooms with you and give you a realistic timeframe before any work starts, so you can plan around it.
Painting While You Live in the Home
Most of our interior painting is done while the family is still living in the house. We work room by room, cover floors, fittings and furniture before we start, and move light furniture ourselves. If there is a large or fragile piece in a room, we will talk it through at the quote so there are no surprises on the day.
How We Prepare Walls and Ceilings for Painting
Interior paint only looks as good as the surface underneath it, so most of the time in each room goes into preparation. Before the topcoats go on, our team works through these steps:
- Cover floors, fittings and furniture
- Fill cracks and nail holes, then sand them smooth
- Clean dust and grease off the walls, ceilings and trims
- Prime bare timber, patched areas and any wall that is changing colour
Minor patching is part of our paint preparation. If a wall needs more than that, such as new plasterboard, a plasterer or builder needs to finish that work before we paint, and we will explain this at the quote. We would rather spend an extra hour on preparation than have you notice a flat spot on the wall six months later.

We paint to the colours you choose. If you are undecided, we can talk through finishes and sheen levels that suit each room, from a low-sheen finish on living room walls to a durable finish on doors and trims. Queensland homes get strong light and humidity, so we use quality paints suited to local conditions rather than choosing on price alone. If you have a preferred brand or product, we are happy to use it.
